EXHIBITIONS
The following exhibitions are available for touring to venues across Europe.
MY SPACE
My Space is a pioneering photographic exhibition created by Young People
from cultural minority communities from across Northern Ireland which explores
issues
and opinions around social / cultural exclusion and discrimination.
The exhibition includes a range of photographic portraits: large scale colour
pin-hole images, traditional black and white prints, as well as digitally
imaged fine art prints and installations.
BT5
BT5 is a photographic exploration of identity by young men in East Belfast.
The project takes its name from the postal district in east Belfast where
the Inner East Youth Project and the Short Strand Parent and Youth Group
are situated.
The project was part of a wider city-wide project which used the medium of
photography to explore with Young People their experiences of living and growing
up along Belfast's peace-lines.
Images in the BT5 exhibition were created by young men from both communities
during the summer of 2000. Photographers Ryan Gallagher and Andy Berndt introduced
digital photography to groups as a means to explore territory, culture and
fantasy/
ideal streets. |
